Information aus aktuellem Anlass: Das Restaurant "Zum Schiffchen" steht in keiner Verbindung zum Restaurant "Im Schiffchen" in Düsseldorf. 我们爱中国人 Das im Herzen der Altstadt gelegene Restaurant Brauerei zum Schiffchen ist das älteste Restaurant Düsseldorfs.
Very friendly and humorous, also attentive service. Food was great. An all around recommendable restaurant.
Great atmosphere, a place with a lot of tradition and history. The food is wonderful, very tasty. Excellent service. If you are in Düsseldorf this is the best restaurant for a great dinner singer.
Mussel season and Rhineland mussel saucepan + glass of Riesling = 100% happiness. The interiors deserve special attention, this is something very special! All together make up a very interesting combination.
The oldest restaurant in town and therefore an institution. Great service and food as you would expect. Hearty and tasty.
Unfortunately, the good times are over here. Everything is getting on in years, the charm of earlier days is gone. Kitchen also at most average. A pity !!
From my point of view, a detour is definitely recommended, as the restaurant is actually extremely nicely furnished. No cheap decoration, but the colors were very nicely matched to each other. The staff worked briskly, cleanly and nicely. My husband and I were too present together and each of us ordered something different, what concerns me can say I have Tried a bit of everything and it was really good.
Nice, cozy brewery in downtown Düsseldorf. This is our second time here and the food was good as always. Except for the annoying violin player .. 😅
Never go to this restaurant! Waiter cheated people! It's the Indian-looking waiter who served our table. After dinner, when paying the bill, we gave 5 euro tips and he was not satisfied, asking for MORE! Unbelievable. It became an argument and at the end, we didn't give him any tips at all. That spoiled our evening. Never had such unreasonable experience before!
Nice dinner
Delicious traditional food and a large terrace along a quiet street. Some noise was from our own Dutch tokkies with 86 children.
Famous Place with great food and delicious beer! Extremely busy touristic location
Unfortunately, "Zum Schiffchen" has had its best days. It used to be a great address. Unfortunately, it was still average today. The ambience is no longer up-to-date or looks really neglected, the exterior is dirty and no longer inviting. Food only average at best. What a shame, a shame about this traditional house and if you know how good it used to be there.
Hello, On Saturday two days ago I had been in the brewery to the boat for a long time. Me and my husband have been going back for dinner for a number of years. Unfortunately I have to say that we were very disappointed on Saturday. The outdoor area was almost completely occupied and a slightly younger waiter was happily chased back and forth by the boss or management at the entrance. Me and my husband could no longer look at something like the waiters there being exploited and left the restaurant after 2 drinks. I find it very sad that the restaurant is getting worse from time to time. We had always enjoyed being there and of course we were always satisfied. But what we experienced on Saturday I see simply as slavery of the employees.
delicious traditional food
Wow was really good to try some Rhenish dishes. Really well cooked, great service. A sweet sauerbraten takes a bit of getting used to, but is really tasty, great potato dumplings and a dream of red cabbage.
We do not think the ratio of price and quality is good. Very expensive for a simple schnitzel and some chips. We do not agree with the other reviews and expected much better. Unfortunately.
Nice staff, beautiful Schweinenhaxe!
Beer is always great and the food is also great. Little but expensive than other german breweries.
Cool place with German food. Feels a bit expensive, but it's worth it. Order the pork thing from the picture below. It's crazy good :)
Great city
Horrible experience!! Wouldn't ever go back and wouldn't recommend anyone to visit there! They kicked us out after we already ordered our beers because we didn't want to eat. I never in my life experienced such a disgusting treatment as a client!!!!!!
Really good typical German food
Worst restaurant I've ever experienced. They force to drink beer continuously by bringing new glasses without order and hide already included tips in the bill. Tetrrible restaurant ever!!. One more thing. Customer have to pay for the use of toilet IN THE RESTAURANT. Unbelievable!!
Good place with big and delicious food. Thank you
It will be closed by 7 O' clock for food. But you can drink by 24:00
Extremely gemütlich. Friendly staff and good service. The menu is good, hearty, Rheinland cuisine, but also includes some lighter and vegetarian options. Can also recommend the altbier.
The dark beer here is delicious anyway. You can drink as many cups as you want. The food is delicious, and this is a recommended Japanese restaurant. The beer order will be poured by the shop if the glass is available, so it's nice for a drinker. Local people say 店 shop with the key of the sign.
Delicious local food and beer and fun atmosphere.
Very historic restaurant - Napoleon ate here. I was here during a slow time of year, so no wait. Service was friendly. They don't seem to actually brew here anymore; they serve Schlösser Alt which was good but not my favorite. I tried the Apfel-Griebenschmalz, which I learned after the fact is basically lard with bacon and apple. It was actually quite tasty spread on bread.
Great food and atmosphere.
Not tasty heated dishes, the waiter hates his work and visitors
Great Food!
Very quick and delicious traditional german food. Very old place!
Dark or light beer, sit down and you get beer!
Its a place with local cuisine. If you want a taste of the city it is great for small and big groups
It’s ok
Expensive for what they serve
Very good desert .
One of the classic Düsseldorf restaurants! Well made regional classic dishes, family friendly, spacy...
Typical food but often crowded
Currently my place in Düsseldorf if I want some locale cuisine and beer.
Never go to this restaurant !!! The restaurant is likely to close soon because the service spirit and attitude of the staff is extremely unkind, rude and messy. Waiters are not interested in the customer table and even forgot the ordered menu in a quiet time when there are'nt many guests, and didn't apologize to our family. The staff also threw serving dishes and coasters onto the customer's table. They seem to have never had any service training, especially for old waiters. In the worst service restaurant, the taste and quality of the food was also the worst. Never! Never! recommended.
Nice restaurant
Food is alright. General German pub food. Server is not particularly friendly though.
Will not recommend this place, they kicked us out because all we wanted was a beer at a brewery....go figure
That was really the best roasted knuckle I have ever tried. Pickled cabbage & mustard did that day of mine
Didn’t accept drinks only. As a microbrewery would have expected this!!
Very special table here where historical personalities had once visited. Nice ambience, suitable for small or 25 to 30 members, liked the interactive staff.
Amazing place! Nicely decorated, cultural influence was very present. The food was delicious and it actually reminded me of the food i had with my grandparents. So big win! Staff was very friendly and helpful even though communicating in english was a bit hard for them. Keep up the good work guys! I enjoyed very much!
I visit this place 9 years and all these years the food is perfect, the atmosphere is very cozy, the cur in exhibition days is huge (but I can understand why :-))
